A well-established Shipping & Freight Forwarding Company located inside Jurong Port, Singapore is seeking a suitable candidate to join the team as:
Operations Executive (Crewing)
Responsibilities:
· Handle vessel crew immigration matters
· Process crew change (sign on/sign off) according to local authorities’ requirements
· Maintain Company’s crew information system
· Arrange crew training, renewal of crew certificates, passport, seaman book etc
· Handle vessels’ port clearance matters
· Liaise with vessel crew on proper upkeeping and maintenance of vessels (tug and barge)
· Handle vessel survey requirements with relevant Class Society
· Assist with vessel procurement and supplies
· Deliver documents, stores, and spares to vessels
· Monitor and update stakeholders on vessels’ daily activities (including incident reporting)
· Plan and conduct safety & security briefings to crew
· Ensure timely and compliance of all statutory formalities and mandatory declarations as required by the various authorities and government agencies
(Knowledge of mandatory STCW certifications, Seafarer’s Employment Agreement, IMO Conventions,
MLC Conventions, Flag State Control requirements etc)
· Attend to various projects and tasks as assigned
Requirements:
· At least 3 years’ experience in similar work scope
· Able to communicate with Indonesian crew fluently
· Familiar with submissions via Digiport, ICA, MPA portals and Indonesia Embassy
· Minimum GCE ‘O’ level or equivalent
· Good proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel,Word,Outlook)
· Possess Class 3 driving licence
· Can work overtime as and when required
· Must be willing to take calls after office hours
Transport to/from Lakeside MRT station is provided.
