We are seeking a talented and detail-oriental Architectural Drafter to join our construction company. You will be responsible for creating detailed and accurate drawings and plans for architectural projects. You will work closely with architects and engineers to produce technical documents that guide the construction process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed architectural drawings using computer-aided design (CAD) software to create 2D and 3D technical drawings.
- Able to analysis building specifications, codes and sites.
- Creating technical drawings from architects' sketches and specifications.
- Using CAD software to create drawings that incorporate exact measurements, calculations, building codes, and other construction details.
- Printing CAD drawing schematics for use by architects, construction managers, and structural and maintenance engineers.
- Entering CAD data into building information modelling (BIM) systems to create 3-D models and renderings.
- Preparing drawings, charts and records with CAD equipment and conventional drafting techniques.
- Performs measurements and calculate dimensions as needed.
- Collaborating with architects and construction engineers, and other design professionals to ensure that designs meet project requirements, adherence to building specifications and industry regulations.
- Review and verify the accuracy of drawings and documents before finalizing them.
- Check for inconsistencies and resolve any issues related to design or drafting.
- Provide technical support to project teams and assist with problem-solving during the construction phase.
- Update and modify drawings as required based on project changes or client requests
- Coordinate with other team members to ensure timely completion of drafting tasks
- Keeping ahead of the latest developments and technologies in architectural design.
Skills and Qualifications:
- An associate’s diploma or certification program in architectural drafting, or similar.
- Preferably knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit is an advantageous.
- Prior experience as an architectural drafter will be advantageous.
- Advanced proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- In-depth knowledge of building design, specifications, codes and structural analysis.
- Ability to apply the fundamentals of sketching and design.
- Mathematical aptitude and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.
- Great analytical, problem-solving and communication skill.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
