Job Summary:
The Worldwide Product Manager will oversee the development, enhancement and management of ASA Holidays’ global travel product portfolio. This role involves strategic planning, market analysis and cross-functional collaboration to deliver competitive and innovative travel packages that meet customer needs and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Strategy & Development:
- Develop and execute global product strategies to enhance ASA Holidays’ travel offerings.
- Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, customer preferences and competitive landscape.
- Design and manage a diverse range of travel products, including destinations, tours and packages.
- Vendor & Partner Management:
- Establish and maintain relationships with airlines, overseas land operators and local partners.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with airlines, overseas land operators to ensure favourable terms and high-quality service.
- Monitor overseas the land operators’ performance and address any issues or improvements needed.
- Market Analysis & Pricing:
- Analyse market data to determine pricing strategies and competitive positioning.
- Monitor industry trends and adjust product offerings to align with market demands and opportunities.
- Develop pricing models and promotional strategies to optimise product profitability.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Work closely with marketing, sales and operations teams to ensure alignment on product launches and promotions.
- Provide training and support to sales teams on product features, benefits and selling points.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective promotional materials and campaigns.
- Product Performance & Reporting:
- Track product performance using key metrics and KPIs; provide regular reports and analysis to senior management.
- Identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions to enhance product success.
- Manage product lifecycle from development to discontinuation, ensuring products meet quality and customer satisfaction standards.
- Customer Experience:
- Ensure all products deliver an exceptional customer experience and meet ASA Holidays’ service standards.
- Gather and analyse customer feedback to refine and improve product offerings.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Travel & Tourism or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in product management, preferably within the travel or hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of managing and launching global travel products.
- Skills:
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Proficiency in market analysis and pricing strategies.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, OB reservation system).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of global travel markets and trends.
