We are seeking a motivated individual to conduct research in the field of applied entomology, including Project Wolbachia – Singapore. The candidate will be actively involved in multi-disciplinary R&D projects to augment our public health research and vector surveillance programmes in Singapore.

Responsibilities
- Lead/co-lead in the design and execution of experiments related to mosquito mass rearing, deployment and prototyping of novel equipment
- Identify opportunities for innovation and process improvements
- Develop and review Work Instructions and risk assessments of the production and quality control processes
- Contribute to peer-reviewed publications and present at major scientific meetings
Requirements:
- Contribute to an entomological R&D lab setting
- Skills in experimental design, data analysis and scientific writing
- Experience with robotics, 3D modelling, system integration or/and rapid prototyping will be advantageous
- Experience or proficiency in statistical or AI/machine learning programmes will also be advantageous
- Resourceful, able to take initiative and carry out plans
- Enjoy thinking strategically, planning, and applying analytical reasoning
- Organised and able to multi-task
- Willing to work staggered hours or after office-hours, weekends and public holiday, when required
