Provide fundamental support to the Therapy staff at JNH SCC including but not limited to activities such as cleaning, laundry, bathing, transferring, oral feeding, changing diapers, and Client escorting to ensure that the basic and immediate needs of JNH SCC client are met.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage the patients as instructed by the Registered Therapist and report on regular intervals.
- To provide therapeutic intervention as specified in exercise prescriptions sheets.
- Provide ambulation to ambulatory patients.
- May maintain records of services performed and of the apparent condition of the client.
- Make visit households to provide simple exercises.
- Assist in stock supplies, answer telephone calls, take messages and complete forms, maintain inventory of treatment and supplies.
- Perform basic care functions such as area cleaning, laundry, bathing, transferring, oral feeding, changing diapers, and patient escorting.
- Assist in transferring residents who may have problems with mobility using appropriate transfer and ‘lifting’ techniques, helping Clients.
- Provide general observation support to nursing staff, so as to inform them about any patient abnormalities such as overall outlook, skin condition, and discrepancies in behavior.
- Ensure adherence to safe work practices and the policy, philosophy, and procedures set out within the nursing home facility.
Requirements
- PSLE/N Levels with the relevant ITE certification
- Qualified WSQ or HMI (Healthcare Support) certificate courses.
- At least 1 year experience.
- Knowledge in CPR will be advantageous.
- Good team player who is able to work well independently.
- Be prepared to perform other duties as assigned.
Working Hours & Location
- West Area, West Coast
- 8am - 530pm or 7am - 430pm, 5 Days work week
