Responsibilities:
Project Initiation and Planning Phase
- Get familiar with available project documents, collect industrial and local regulatory context information, to fully understand the project planned to be built.
- Prepare multiple schedules for project option assessment.
- Develop and maintain the high-level project schedule files to align with business goals and project delivery strategy, brief schedule summary and assumptions for project team to continuously review and validate.
- Assist project team to allocate and analyze available resources.
- At the end of the phase, deliver a level 1 project schedule baseline with narrative (incl. scheduling methodology, calendar settings, assumptions, area of concerns/risks etc.) to cover project stages from engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, validation, start-up and licensing.
Project Execution Phase
- Work with project team to develop the level 2 master schedule, set up baseline schedule.
- Assist on schedule requirement and schedule review for critical procurement packages.
- Review and assess schedule files provided/submitted by contractors/vendors.
- Maintain master schedules in P6/MS project, keep the schedule narrative updated and log down the critical/important modifications.
- Provide short term look ahead schedules and develop micro schedules as necessary, to coordinate on challenging work segments and assist on time targets alignment among different parties.
- Monitor and document work progress in a quantified way (e.g., Earned value), compare with baseline, identify any deviations, analyze the causes, propose corrective actions, prepare and distribute schedule reports timely and accurately.
- Review, advise and analyze extension of time (EOT) and related claims.Quick response on the Ad-hoc tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering /project management or similar.
- At least 10 years’ experiences in schedule management including project planning, monitoring & tracking, reporting, deviation analysis and management, resource loading and analysis experience preferred.
- Familiar with the project life cycle of the green field projects.
- Pharma or biopharma project experiences are preferred.
- Proficient with planning and scheduling techniques: PDM, CPM, PERT, Resource Leveling and Earned Value.
- Proficient with scheduling tools/software: Primavera P6, MS Project, and the other MS Office suite.
- An active learner and problem solver.
- A good communicator and presenter, good at teamwork.
- Flexibility to handle multiple priorities with deadlines.
- Willingness to travel as necessary.
