Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth research for exhibitions on Singapore, Southeast Asia and more, on cultural heritage, maritime trade, etc.
- Work closely with curators to conceptualise, research, and develop written content for exhibitions (E.g., Eucational, marketing and public outreach materials, social media write-ups and education guides.)
- Sourcing exhibition materials and securing copyright permissions.
- Support community engagement efforts as part of exhibition research and/or publicity, including conducting public tours.
Requirements:
- Possesses minimum a Bachelor’s Degree in History or related social sciences
- Experienced and meticulous in historical research & writing, skilled in sourcing and analysing primary and secondary materials
- Experienced in conducting research on topics related to Chinese history, literature or culture
- Has keen interest in and has sound understanding of Singapore history and heritage
