Key Responsibilities:
- Support Drafting Operations: Assist the Drafting Manager in managing the day-to-day operations of the drafting department, including scheduling, task assignment, and resource allocation.
- Technical Drawings: Oversee the preparation of detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics using CAD software, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project specifications.
- Quality Control: Ensure that all drawings and plans adhere to industry standards, project requirements.
- Team Supervision: Provide guidance and supervision to junior drafters, offering technical support and ensuring that their work aligns with project expectations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with engineers, architects, and project managers to understand project requirements, resolve any issues, and incorporate necessary changes into the designs.
- Project Documentation: Maintain and organize all project documentation, including drawings, revisions, and correspondence, ensuring that records are up-to-date and easily accessible.
- Training: Assist in training and mentoring junior drafting staff to improve their skills and efficiency.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting processes, recommending and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and quality.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in drafting or a related role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial position.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit), with a strong understanding of engineering and architectural principles.
