Job Scope:The motor service Technician is responsible for the disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and testing of electric motors. This role ensures that motors are restored to optimal performance levels, adhering to high standards of quality and safety.
Key Roles and Responsibilities:
- Disassembly and Inspection: Carefully dismantle electric motors to examine components for wear, damage, and defects.
- Repair and Replacement: Repair or replace faulty parts, including bearings, windings, and other motor components. Perform AC slip ring rotor rewinding, AC high voltage stator rewinding (Form coil).
- Reassembly: Accurately reassemble motors, ensuring all parts are correctly aligned and secured.
- Testing: Perform tests to verify motor performance and ensure repairs meet specified standards.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of all overhaul activities, including inspection findings, repairs performed, and test results. Submit service reports on time.
- Maintenance: Perform preventive maintenance tasks to keep motors in good working condition.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Tool Management: Properly use and maintain tools and equipment required for motor overhauls.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in motor overhaul techniques.
Qualifications:
ITE/diploma in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering or in the related area or work experience in a related field; Technical or vocational training in electrical or mechanical fields is preferred.
- Proven experience in electric motor maintenance, overhaul and repair.
- Experience in carrying out the rewinding job for AC /DC motor,
- Relevant certifications in motor overhaul and repair are advantageous.
