About the Role:
Rivervale Primary School is seeking a skilled and passionate ICT Educator to join our team. The ICT Educator will play a key role in enhancing the school’s e-learning and digital initiatives, supporting both staff and students in leveraging technology effectively. You will collaborate closely with the Head of Department (HOD) ICT to drive innovative IT solutions and deliver ICT training workshops.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Digital Learning: Assist in nurturing a culture of e-learning and ePedagogy within the school.
- Content Creation: Develop and design digital resources, interactive materials, and e-learning content for home-based learning and classroom use.
- Training & Workshops: Conduct ICT-based training workshops tailored for staff and students, covering topics such as touch typing, cyber wellness, multimedia usage, and coding.
- Technical Assistance: Provide software and technical support to staff and students, addressing their day-to-day IT needs.
- Project Guidance: Guide and coach students through ICT competitions and showcase projects.
- Research & Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of IT solutions and innovative projects.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the HOD ICT to spearhead IT initiatives and ensure smooth execution.

- Touch Typing
- Cyber Wellness
- E-Learning Portal Training
- Utilising Multimedia Facilities (Scanner, Digital Camera)
- Basic Photo Editing (e.g., Adobe Photoshop)
- Presentation Graphics (MS Word, PowerPoint)
- Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (Basic and Advanced Levels)
- Basic Video Production
- Coding (Scratch Junior, Scratch 3.0, Co-spaces, Microbit)
- Design Thinking Skills
- Other ICT-related courses as required by the school
Qualifications & Skills:
- Relevant certification in ICT.
- Proficiency in website programming, Google Docs, Scratch Junior, Scratch 3.0, Co-spaces, and Microbit.
- Strong knowledge of ICT tools for collaborative and self-directed learning.
- Experience managing children under the age of 12; experience in a primary school setting is an advantage.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to deliver effective training sessions.
- Good classroom management skills.
- Ability to multitask, work independently, and collaborate effectively in a team.
- Trainer registration with the Ministry of Education (MOE) is preferred.
