Overview:
The key objective of the Senior Automation Consultant is primarily managing automation systems by control system design, specification and commissioning for MNCs in the region. The role includes developing new and improving or upgrading existing automation systems used in the manufacturing processes of customers.
Responsibilities:
- Execution & management of automation projects ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within specifications, and within budget.
- Responsible for control system design, specifications, programming, testing, and start up assistance.
- Implement code modifications under documented change control.
- Investigate and provide technical advice and support to manufacturing and other engineering disciplines.
- Support operations with responses to technical queries.
- Partner with different disciplines to deliver projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience.
- Must be experienced in ABB 800xA automation platform.
- Experience in project implementations with Siemens S7 PLC & HMI programming with TIA Portal and WinCC, and Schneider-Electric Modicon Quantum with ProWORX 32 is also highly desired.
- Exposure to Intellution iFIX or FIX32 will be an added advantage.
- Must be experienced in process control applications in F&B, Chemical, or Pharma manufacturing environments.
- SCADA experience with Wonderware InTouch, Siemens WinCC, Rockwell FTView is favorable.
- Flexibility to support customers during off-hours.
- Fluent in the English language.
- Willingness to learn and travel within the ASEAN region (up to 15%, short periods).
