Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Turning and Milling Programmer to join our dynamic Customer. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC turning and milling machines to produce high-precision components. This role requires an individual with strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and a passion for precision machining.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program CNC turning and milling machines using industry-standard software such as Mastercam, Pitagora, or similar.
- Set up and operate CNC turning and milling machines to produce parts according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Interpret and analyse complex engineering blueprints and drawings to ensure accuracy and precision in the manufacturing process.
- Select appropriate tooling, machine speeds, and feeds to optimize production efficiency and product quality.
- Conduct quality inspections on machined parts to ensure adherence to specifications and tolerances.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to CNC programming, tooling, and machine operation.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to improve production processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in CNC turning and milling programming and operation.
- Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Team player with good communication skills.
