Key Responsibilities:
1. Feedstock Expansion Strategy:
- Develop a comprehensive strategy with feedstock & commercial leaders and execute to expand EcoCeres' access to a variety of renewable feedstocks worldwide, including Animal Fat, POME, Fish Fat, Technical Corn Oil, cover crops, tree oils, and novel feedstocks.
- Identify new sourcing regions, establish partnerships, and negotiate supply agreements to secure reliable and diverse feedstock sources.
2. Refinery Capacity Alignment:
- Collaborate with senior leadership to ensure feedstock aggregation aligns with the growing capacity of EcoCeres' renewable refineries, optimizing utilization and profitability.
- Monitor feedstock supply and demand trends to make informed decisions on capacity planning and feedstock optimization.
3. Trading and Risk Management:
- Leverage trading experience to create a strategic approach to feedstock sourcing and trading, ensuring EcoCeres remains in a favorable position to choose the best feedstock volumes and trade the excess.
- Develop risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in feedstock supply and market fluctuations.
4. Partner and Supplier Engagement:
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with potential partners, feedstock suppliers, and agricultural companies, identifying opportunities for strategic partnerships that align with EcoCeres' mission and objectives.
5. Reporting and Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the Feedstock VP to align feedstock strategies with business goals and initiatives.
- Provide regular reporting on feedstock sourcing, trading, and supply chain activities to senior leadership and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record in a leadership role within feedstock sourcing, trading, or supply chain management, preferably within the renewable energy or related industries.
- Extensive experience in sourcing diverse renewable feedstocks, with a deep understanding of the regional feedstock market dynamics.
- Strong trading experience and risk management skills, with the ability to navigate market fluctuations and optimize trading opportunities.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to establish and nurture strategic partnerships.
- Experience in building and leading global teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Familiarity with the renewable energy landscape and an understanding of waste carbon conversion technologies is a plus.
- Willingness to travel internationally as required.
