Big Bite Digital, an innovative startup utilising cutting-edge technologies to digitalize enterprise processes, seeks a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager (BDM). The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of the Retail Sector which is our current focus. However, we are also looking for BDM who have in-depth understanding of industries that are suitable for digital transformation. The applicant must have a passion for technology, specifically in automation, AI integration, and machine vision. You will be a key player in identifying new business opportunities, forming strategic partnerships, and driving the growth of our advanced software solutions tailored to optimise company processes and enhance operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Strategic Planning:
- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify trends, potential clients, and the competitive landscape in targeted industries.
- Develop and execute strategic business development plans that align with Big Bite Digital’s growth objectives.
- Identify and target key market segments, crafting strategies to penetrate markets.
- Lead Generation & Sales Growth:
- Generate and qualify leads through industry networking, trade shows, and digital marketing initiatives.
- Maintain a strong sales pipeline focusing on building and sustaining long-term client relationships.
- Engage with industry leaders and decision-makers to understand their needs and present tailored software solutions that leverage automation, AI, and machine vision.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and nurture strong, long-lasting client relationships and repeat business.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their challenges and offering innovative solutions to enhance operations.
- Collaboration & Innovation:
- Collaborate closely with product development and AI engineering teams to ensure client requirements are accurately captured and fulfilled.
- Work with the marketing team to develop compelling content and campaigns that support business development initiatives.
- Provide insights on market demands and customer needs
- Performance Tracking & Reporting:
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to business development activities.
- Provide updates to senior management on progress, challenges, and new opportunities.
- Analyse sales data to continuously refine strategies and improve performance.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the retail or technology sector.
- Proven success in sales and marketing
- Strong understanding of the retail industry (preferred) and its operational challenges.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in sales to the retail sector.
- An established network within the retail or technology sectors or sectors that are ready for digital transformation.
