[Job Description]

  • Formulate sales policies, proposals and business plans for the company. The position is expected to formulate specific short-, medium- and long-term sales strategies for the company based on its group sales policy and drive the sales growth and business performance to achieve group target.
  • Coordinate and work closely with key clients to formulate business strategies and action plans for future projects. This role will also take a lead role in project-based commercial strategies, such as the coordination of joint venture partnerships, alliances, etc.
  • Identify key issues in sales strategy of the company and entire JGC group in APAC countries and formulate policies to address them. Regularly report, propose and discuss with the senior management of the company and Japan headquarters sales department to achieve sales targets.
  • Work closely with management of relevant divisions/departments of the company and the sales division of Japan HQ. Formulate sales strategies and take an initiatives to promote it. Interpret market segment information and secure new business opportunities and projects (in areas of energy, chemicals, life sciences, industrial and urban infrastructure, etc.) in APAC countries to achieve the JGC group targets.
  • Lead complex proposals/negotiations with customers, including projects need to be undertaken by forming joint venture with other company(ies). This position is particularly required to handle large-size projects with several stakeholders (both outside and inside the company) and manage our top-tier customers who expect close commitment and extensive knowledge in the business side of the projects.
  • Take the operational lead of development of sales strategy of the JGC Group, particularly in terms of building, maintaining and improving the customer relationship.
  • Implement measures to explore new business opportunities (new customers and new business domain) and build and maintain trusting relationship with new customers, based on the sales strategy.
  • Communicate with various stakeholders, including shareholders, partners, relevant government agencies and customers (including existing and new customers) in Japan and across the APAC to build and maintain trusting relationships.
  • Identify issues and needs of customers in Singapore and neighboring countries covered by the JGC Group, lead the preparation of proposals in cooperation with related departments to formulate solutions, communicate with customers and negotiate contract matters.
  • Share sales information and propose execution policies to relevant departments in the company.
  • Work together with internal teams to develop proposal including technical idea and solutions to achieve sales targets by ensuring the best possible services and effective communications to all regional customers.

[Job Requirement]

  • At least 8 years' experience in sales department in the Oil & Gas and/or industrial and urban infrastructure related industries, including more than 3 projects with a value of USD 100million or more.
  • Experience as Department Manager or equivalent position of a listed company or a group company of a listed company with more than 1,000 employees.
  • Possesses in-depth practical knowledge and understanding of contractual practices and contracts in EPC projects.
  • At least 5 years of experience with EPC project (including estimation work) in the APAC region in Oil & Gas and/or industrial and urban infrastructure related industry.
  • Experience in leading a project to establish new JV entity and its project office.
  • Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to think "outside the box" to solve problems.
