Job Overview:
As the CEO of Southeast Asia, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the strategic, operational, and financial performance of the business operations across Southeast Asia. You will be expected to lead a team of executives, ensuring the growth and profitability of the region while aligning with global business objectives. The role requires a seasoned executive with a proven track record in freight forwarding with a deep understanding of the Southeast Asian market and its unique business challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional business strategies in alignment with global objectives. Drive market expansion, customer acquisition, and profitability across Southeast Asia.
- Oversee all operational functions, including transportation, warehousing, customs brokerage, and distribution. Ensure efficiency, cost management, and service excellence throughout the region.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across the Southeast Asian region. Build strategic relationships with key customers, partners, and government entities to foster growth.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation. Ensure succession planning and talent development across the region.
- Drive a customer-centric culture, ensuring the highest level of service and satisfaction for clients. Ensure solutions are tailored to meet the unique needs of customers across various industries.
- Ensure the company adheres to all relevant regulations, including customs, trade compliance, and safety standards. Proactively manage risks across the region.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in freight forwarding industry with at least 5 years in a senior executive role in Southeast Asia.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire large, diverse teams across multiple countries. Strong track record in driving performance and achieving business results.
- Deep understanding of the Southeast Asian freight forwarding and logistics landscape, including key markets like Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, India and Indonesia etc.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Experience driving digital transformation initiatives and leveraging technology to improve operations and customer experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Southeast Asian languages is a plus.
