MINDS has been caring for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities (PWIDs) and their families since 1962.

MINDS is today one of the largest charities in Singapore employing more than 850 staff. With the key focus to expand community-based services, improving the employability of PWIDS, strengthening education, and engendering inclusive community living, MINDS offers a holistic range of services and programmes across the PWIDs' lifespan.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The position provides key support in the following areas:

  1. Manage MINDS' volunteer management framework to recruit, manage and engage volunteers and community partners to advocate for volunteerism, coordinate and host volunteering activities, drive donation efforts, and build rapport with internal stakeholders to increase MINDS' capability and capacity to manage volunteers and its community partners.
  2. Engage and establish partnerships in support of MINDS' programmes and services, with specific focus on the community sectors (e.g., schools/tertiary institutions, non-governmental organisations and individuals).
  3. Support the execution of engagement activities, as well as other SCE's events and activities.

External Stakeholder, Community Partnerships and Individuals Outreach

  • Generate potential leads and establish partnerships in support of MINDS' programmes and services, including but not limited to social enterprise, volunteering, donations/funding, and employment opportunities.
  • Support the recruitment of individual volunteers

Volunteer Management and Resources

  • Engage and expand network of community volunteers to support MINDS' events and programmes.
  • Enhance relationships to grow more regular volunteers (e.g. VIA)
  • Conduct interviews and sharing sessions for the purpose of recruiting new volunteers and matching of volunteers to MINDS programmes.
  • Manage the onboarding and training programme for volunteers.
  • Develop resources (e.g. volunteer handbook/video) and platforms (MINDS website, volunteer management system, templates etc) to support volunteerism.
  • Support in compiling data for Volunteer Management Report and updates for Senior Management and Board.
  • Conduct the annual Volunteer Satisfaction Survey.

Volunteer Database

  • Manage volunteer's database and maintain regular communication with them.
  • Support in tracking volunteers' activities database and the type of contributions.
  • Support the development of the Volunteer and Donor Management System.

Volunteer Coordinator (VC) Circle

  • Educate and empower VCs to support the recruitment, engagement and management of volunteers
  • Build rapport and work closely with the VC Circle to support school/centre volunteer activities.
  • Support the VCs in engagement related matters and conduct VC Meetings.

Engagement & Events Management

  • Conceptualise and execute engagement activities for community partners.
  • Support the organisation of MINDS Volunteer and Donor Appreciation Day 2024
  • Support events/activities organised by the department.

Fundraising & Donation

  • Generate potential leads in support of overall team efforts to grow philanthropic giving for MINDS.
  • Encourage community partners to donate and fundraise towards MINDS fundraising targets, especially during key fundraising campaign periods.
  • Support the development of 1 fundraising activity involving Community Partners in support of MINDS' fundraising campaigns.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Degree in Business / Marketing / Social Work & Community Development/ Mass Communications preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience in volunteer or donor management, data management, events management or marketing communications.
OTHER INFORMATION
  • Excellent project management and written/oral communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and work with tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office and relevant software.
  • Experience in client servicing, statistical and impact reporting, and corporate pitching skills preferred.
  • Experience in data management.
  • Knowledge of WordPress would be advantageous.
