Job Responsibilities
- Oversee the technical direction and coordination of all civil and structural engineering and design work on assigned projects, following the Project Execution Plan, applicable Project Procedures, and Standards for Oil & Gas/Refinery/Petrochemical/LNG Plant Project
- Collaborate with the project management team, other engineering disciplines, and operations teams to review deliverables related to civil, structural, and architectural disciplines
- Ensure high quality and timely completion of assigned work within budget constraints, including verifying technical accuracy of drawings, material quantities, specifications, and procedures produced by the civil and structural discipline
- Prepare, review, check, issue, and follow up on all civil and structural deliverables up to the construction stage
- Perform engineering design calculations and create design sketches as needed
- Coordinate with Professional Engineers (PE), and Qualified Persons (QP) involved in the project to ensure timely delivery of civil and structural documents for local authority approval
- Prepare sub-contract requisitions along with Material Take-Offs (MTO) and Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and participate in technical bid evaluations
- Review and provide comments on geotechnical site survey procedures and reports (both onshore and marine)
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of related experience, with average experience of 20+ years
- Proficient in software for civil/structural design calculations (both concrete and steel), such as STAAD.Pro, RAM Connection, and TEDDS
- Familiar with local and international design codes and standards, including Euro Codes, British Codes, and American Codes for civil structural design as there may be requirements to do civil engineering work of any plant outside of Singapore
- Knowledgeable about Singapore civil and structural permitting requirements
- Experience in civil and structural design and drafting activities, including the ability to review 3D designs, SmartPlant Review (SPR), Navisworks, and supervise Designers/drafting teams
- LNG projects experience will be an added advantage
