Role:
- Ensure the Company’s IT Policy is up-to-date and followed.
- Provide daily IT support to company end-users.
- Offer IT support for Vessels through remote tools or on-site visits as needed.
- Maintain regular IT server operations for both the company and vessels.
- Keep the Office Hardware inventory updated.
- Administer the Company’s Marine ERPs.
- Ensure ERP and office server backups and replication are performed.
- Collaborate with other Business Units to identify new technological needs or enhance existing technologies for better functionality or efficiency.
- Organize or conduct IT training sessions for new users or technologies.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers when necessary.
- Maintain and create user documentation and training materials.
- Actively research and deploy new software/hardware, unit standards, policies, and procedures, managing their implementation effectively.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by superiors periodically.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Information Technology or a related field.
- 3 to 5 years of IT support experience in a shipping company.
- Strong team player with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- Good communication skills.
- Proficient in both verbal and written communication.
- Ability to manage multiple projects/proposals.
- Basic SQL knowledge for running/applying queries.
- Experience working with ERP software is an advantage.
