The CFO is responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company. This includes financial planning, risk management, record-keeping, and financial reporting. This individual plays a crucial role in guiding the company’s financial strategy, optimizing financial performance, and ensuring compliance with local regulations and international financial standards.
- Providing leadership, direction and management of the internal finance and accounting team
- Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO and members of the executive management team
- Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting
- Advising on long-term business and financial planning
- Providing commercial insight and leadership across the business in order to exceed business plan targets
- Responsible for ensuring the risk and compliance management framework is embedded and operational for the organisation
- Establishing and developing relations with senior management and external partners and stakeholders
- Reviewing all formal finance and IT related procedures
Requirements:
- At least 15 years' experience in the finance industry and proven leadership and management experience
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, excellent communication and leadership abilities, and proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the executive presence to work with senior management, investors and external stakeholders
- Must be able to engage with staff at all levels of the organisation and exercise sound judgement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA is also highly desirable
