The Development Manager will independently manage a personal portfolio of prospects and donors and will be expected to meet ambitious fundraising goals. The position will be a key driver in building the capacity of the College to implement a strategic fundraising programme, while growing the culture of philanthropy among stakeholders, and broadening and deepening our base of supporters to bring greater impact to our students and mission.

    - maintaining responsibility for the stewardship of gifts solicited, including working with members of educational leadership who are responsible for implementing donor-funded programmes and reporting to donors on the impact of their gifts
  • Develop compelling bespoke written proposals for major gift prospects and supporting the Head of Fundraising in development of other fundraising collateral where appropriate.
  • Complete gift agreements and other materials/processes needed to define, secure and document gifts to the College in line with existing processes, including adherence to gift acceptance policies and procedures
  • In collaboration with other members of the team and the wider College community identify major gift prospects and develop compelling engagement strategies to solicit, close, and steward gifts as outlined above.
  • Maintain accurate records of contacts with donors and prospects using the CRM system and support the continued development of CRM best practices
  • Contribute to the strategic direction of fundraising efforts to further develop the vision for fundraising at UWCSEA.
  • Support the wider fundraising and engagement activities at UWCSEA as required.

  • Demonstrated success in raising leadership level gifts in a nonprofit or education related organisation; results-oriented with a passion for increasing support for the College
  • A strong track record of raising significant gifts from individuals
  • A proven ability to establish, cultivate and steward strong professional relationships with stakeholders to build lifelong partnerships and trust, while aligning their passions with the mission, priorities and goals of UWCSEA
