We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Legal Counsel to join our legal team. The successful candidate will be responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating various contracts, conducting legal research on topics such as commercial contracts and data privacy, and maintaining accurate legal records. This role requires a strong understanding of legal principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to stay updated on changes in laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, including NDAs, supplier agreements, and service contracts
- Conducting legal research on various topics relevant to the company's operations, including commercial contracts, intellectual property rights, employment law, data privacy, and regulatory compliance
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date legal documentation, records, and databases
- Assisting in the preparation of legal documents, such as corporate resolutions, board minutes, and regulatory filings
- Monitoring changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards to identify potential legal risks and ensure ongoing compliance with applicable requirements
- Supporting the continuous improvement of the legal team’s processes, including development of and updates to standard form agreements and templates
- Coordinating with external legal advisors and service providers as necessary
How you can stand out:
- Bachelor's degree in Law or related field required; Juris Doctor (JD), LLM or equivalent degree preferred
- 2-3 years of experience in a legal role
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct legal research and analyze complex issues
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate legal concepts effectively to non-legal stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal research databases
