Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory tests and analysis in compliance with established laboratory standards, policies and processes, and record all findings accurately.
- Perform analysis at site laboratories or at field assignments.
- Prepare and standardize reagents and test solutions.
- Review, question and repeat results if suspicious results are encountered.
- Represent the Laboratory as witness at third party and refinery laboratory.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the laboratory, including apparatus, equipment and materials used.
- Assist in the practical training of new Analyst where assigned.
- Perform shift work and overtime when required.
- Perform any tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Apply judgement and act according to SGS standards of ethics and integrity.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related fields.
Minimum one year of relevant working experience in Oil, Gas & Chemical laboratory. - Good knowledge of laboratory processes and safe handling of chemicals.
- Good knowledge and experience in handling Gas Chromatography and other scientific testing instruments.
- High attention to details, meticulous with good time management.
- Results and service-oriented.
- Team player with a positive working attitude.
- Able to multi-task and work independently within challenging timelines.
