Job Summary:

The Commercial Center Tender Manager is accountable for managing the overall tendering process, providing oversight on resource competency/capabilities to ensure high-quality proposals and on-time delivery.

The Tender Manager ensures the tender team workload is balanced, matching resources with predicted activity. This person is accountable for the overall quality of tender submissions, the development, integrity and adherence to Tender Management processes/systems.


Job Descriptions:

  • Responsible for coordinating incoming tender support requests and maximizing acceptance with the Business Line Commercial Managers and/or Leads.
  • Responsible for assigning Tender Leads to projects and provides support and direction in the creation of Tenders.
  • Accountable for all on-time deliveries and tender submission qualification and overall quality. Monitor GeoUnit feedback and develops necessary action(s) for recognition or development.
  • Facilitate collaboration between the Tender Delivery Team, Business Line Teams and Subject Matter Experts within the Commercial Center and continuously engages and provides feedback to the central Sales & Commercial function.
  • Develop and share best practices and lessons learned after key Tender awards or losses.
  • Accountable for periodic SQ Meetings fostering knowledge sharing on risk identification, risk mitigation, and overall continuous improvement.
  • Provide feedback to OS Central Team for continuous tender process/workflow improvement.
  • Accountable for securing archival of tender submission and supporting documentation.

Requirements:

• Degree qualified in Engineering, Business, Finance or related field is preferred.

• At least 10 years’ experience in Oil & Gas Industry.

• Strong knowledge of Wellheads, Fracturing Trees and other wellhead products for onshore and offshore oil productions.

• Strong knowledge of SAP.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

• Strong understanding and appreciation of commercial terms and mechanisms.

• Strong understanding and appreciation of project and product cost structure, market pricing and P&L’s.

• Understanding and appreciation of tax and finance mechanisms. • Understanding of typical engineering bill of materials.

• Understanding and appreciation of contract law.

• Proven ability of working in a high-pressure environment with the minimal of support.

• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask.

• Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills.

• Attention to detail and ability to think laterally.
