Utilize technical skills to repair and maintain site assets, identifying necessary materials and equipment to address faults and breakdowns.
Provide plant and process problem solving skills within area of expertise to optimise manufacturing equipment availability and keep production downtime to a minimum. Some issues may require further advice and investigation. The role will predominately involve routine and standard tasks with infrequent supervision.
Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal customers to ensure safe and timely work implementation. Attend site meetings, risk assessment studies and review meetings as required. Use computer systems for planned and reactive maintenance activities. The role requires occasional and limited influence.
This role carries no line management responsibilities but the post holder will be expected to work both as part of a small team and on their own depending on the tasks being performed. The person may be expected to coach and advise less experienced employees and contractors e.g. apprentices.
Use planning skills in order to carry out daily maintenance and small project tasks in a safe, healthy and environmentally acceptable manner.
Identify risk potential and conduct job risk assessments, especially in high-hazard areas, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and site standards. Be accountable for personal health and safety and that of others affected by their actions.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping in the workshops and workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Troubleshoot, service electrical and instrument equipment
2. Understand and work with drawings and diagrams, SLD
3. Inspection of work completion by contractors
4. Perform inpection for equipment
5. Generate and manage reports from repair works, inspection
6. Closing of report and/or SAP work orders as assigned by Supervisor/ Engineer/ Manager
