Job Title: Data Analyst
Job Summary: The Data Analyst will be responsible for analysing medium to large-scale datasets, implementing data designs using tools such as PowerBI, and generating insights to inform operational strategies. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, the ability to work independently, and a collaborative mindset to work effectively within a team.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acquire data from various sources and maintain databases and data systems.
- Filter and clean data, review reports, and performance indicators.
- Identify and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets. Use data to solve business problems, answer business questions, and predict future trends or outcomes.
- Provide reports to management and stakeholders.
- Work with management to prioritize business and information needs.
- Collaborate with different teams to understand their data needs and assist in making data-driven decisions.
- Create data visualizations and prepare detailed reports communicating findings and insights.
- Other Ad-hoc work
Job Skills and Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
- Proven 3 years’ experience in data analysis, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of PowerBI analysis tool
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written in English
- Analytical mindset with the ability to identify issues, analyse data, and propose solutions.
- Adaptability and flexibility to navigate changing project requirements and priorities.
- Experience in Government IT projects is a plus.
