Role Overview:As a Field Sampling Assistant, you will be at the forefront of environmental monitoring, working directly in the field to collect and analyze water samples. This role is perfect for individuals looking to gain practical experience in a dynamic and impactful field of science.
Duration: October to December, 10 Weeks
Schedule: 4 Hours per Day, 3 Days per Week
Compensation: Hourly Paid
What You'll Do:
- Field Deployment: Operate and deploy water monitoring instruments to collect data on harmful algal blooms.
- Physical Tasks: Manage the lifting, carrying, and positioning of equipment and instruments.
- Data Collection: Follow established protocols to ensure the accuracy and reliability of collected data.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

- Physical Stamina: Ability to handle physical tasks and work in varying field conditions.
- Comfort with waters: This role entails prolonged boat rides and ability to swim is a plus.
