Job Description
1. Drafting HVAC Designs: Create detailed technical drawings and plans for air-conditioning and mechanical ventilation systems using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit).
2. Collaboration: Work closely with engineers and project managers to interpret design requirements and ensure accurate drafting of HVAC systems.
3. Plan Modifications: Update and modify existing HVAC drawings based on changes from the engineering team or client feedback.
4. Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation of HVAC designs, including layouts, schematics, and detailed specifications.
5. Quality Assurance: Ensure all drawings adhere to industry standards, project specifications, and regulatory requirements.
6. Material Specification: Assist in specifying materials and components needed for HVAC systems, ensuring they align with the design plans.
7. Site Coordination: Occasionally visit project sites to verify measurements, ensure drawings match site conditions, and make adjustments as needed.
Minimum Requirements
1. Education: Diploma or certification in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
2. Experience: 1-3 years of experience in drafting HVAC or mechanical systems.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit); ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
4. Standards Knowledge: Familiarity with local building codes and HVAC standards, such as SS 553 (Code of Practice for Air-conditioning and Mechanical Ventilation).
5. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in drawings and adherence to design specifications.
6. Communication: Good communication skills to collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
7. Adaptability: Ability to handle multiple projects and adapt to changes in design requirements or project timelines.
