Finance Assistant Manager/ Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Financial Manager / Assistant Finance Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of financial reporting and consolidation, managing budgeting and forecasting activities, and providing support for strategic project analysis.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. To lead a Finance team to achieve timely and qualitative monthly/half year/year-end management reports, analysis, and key data presentations to management, attend to audit and tax requests timely and motivate the team, and ensure that the team provides optimal support to various stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
  2. Ensure that good internal controls are in place and all payments are made in compliance with corporate policies, accounting standards, and relevant statutory requirements, and be involved in system implementation projects relating to Accounts process improvement.
  3. Oversee and manage the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
  4. Manage financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of financial statements and reports.Ensure compliance with statutory audit and audit requirements in accordance with the relevant reporting standards.
  5. Ensure compliance and timely completion in all areas of financial and management accounting activities including but not limited to monthly and year-end closing of accounts.
  6. Drive continuous productivity improvement on accuracy, efficiency & simplicity on Systems and Process Streamlining.
  7. Ensure timely reconciliation for inter-company and bank balances.
  8. Liaising with internal stakeholders, internal and external auditors, customers, suppliers, and other professionals on related matters
  9. Monitor and escalate collection and credit control issues.



Key Tasks:

  • Maintain a set of accounts and hands -on accounting activities for BVI & Caymen entities, family office, trustees and fund management company including general ledger entries, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations.
  • Maintain a group structure chart, compliances and consolidated net worth statement.
  • Monitoring of Country monthly, quarterly, yearly submission and coordinate for Quarterly Business Review (QBR).
  • Coordination and monitoring the Yearly Budget Submission, budget process, budget assumptions, meeting and completion.
  • Prepare and reviewing companies’ management accounts and schedules.
  • Maintain inter-company balances (OOB) and transaction within the Groups. Prepare intercompany loan agreement with transfer pricing compliances with country level.
  • Tax, Corporate Secretarial and Audit for non-operational entities.
  • Liaise with auditor, tax agent on audit matter/issue and tax queries for non-operational entities.
  • Prepare and submission of annual declaration - form 13x (Family office) to MAS.
  • Property Tax – Annual Assessment and Notice of Objections with IRAS/Consultant.
  • Supporting corporate secretarial matters (incorporation of new entity).
  • Transfer pricing.


Banking/Treasury/Risk:

  • Handle banking affairs (KYC, update bank signatories, new account opening, banking-related documents)
  • Monitoring Financial Covenants/Information Covenants and Property Covenants
  • Assist in New/Refinancing/Loan execution and database.
  • Monitor the investment scorecard.
  • Weekly/Monthly Consolidated cash/liquidity, Investment Summary and Debt Profiles to Senior Management.
  • Maintain Financial and Information compliances together with Country level and banks.
  • Execute formalities related to accounts opening, derivatives i.e. IRS hedging transactions with country level, FX hedging transaction with country level.Monitoring and analysis of Financials Ratio scorecard with country level.
  • Support due diligence of new asset acquisition or investments analysis.
  • Participating in group, Singapore and Australia tax planning with country level.
  • Process Senior Management Payroll and related.
  • Corporate Insurances central procurement policy (IAR, D&O, Public Liability, EAR) (if necessary)



Job requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Strong team player and able to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in financial software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Familiarity with financial regulations and accounting standards
  • Prior experience in the real estate industry will be an advantage.
