We are seeking a skilled LAN/WAN Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of our organization's network infrastructure, ensuring high performance and security across our LAN/WAN environments.
Key Responsibilities:
· Network Design & Implementation:Design, install, and configure LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
· Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize network performance to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
· Security Management: Implement and manage network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems, to protect the organization from cyber threats.
· Support & Troubleshooting: Provide technical support for network-related issues, respond to incidents, and resolve problems in a timely manner.
· Upgrades & Patching: Manage the regular upgrade and patching of network devices to ensure they are running the latest software versions.
Qualifications:
· Education: Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
· Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in LAN/WAN administration.
· Technical Skills:
o Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices (e.g., Cisco, Juniper).
o Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN, and other networking protocols.
o Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark).
o Familiarity with firewall configuration and security best practices.
