As a member of OCI’s product organization, your role will be the primary interface between the worldwide sales team, customers, and OCI’s product and service teams. This is a sales support role that spans multiple fields depending on the sales team's support needs, from solution architecture to product management and program/project management. You will assist in defining and developing product and engineering initiatives to support OCI’s most strategic customers. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs. Duties and tasks are varied and complex, and independent judgment is needed. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have program or project lead role. Minimum of 8 years combined experience in solution architecture, product management, software engineering and Program management.

As a Principal Solutions Architect, you will work closely with our field organizations and software engineers from the various cloud service teams to build secure services that meet both customer needs and OCI’s strategic goals. You should be familiar with all software, hardware, and network stack levels while having a deep knowledge of a few. Intellectual curiosity and an excitement for solving complex problems of complex, massive systems are a must. You should value simplicity, usability, and security and work comfortably in a collaborative, agile environment.
You are technically strong and get a lot done—you’ve built highly available, scalable, and redundant services. You understand that simple systems are easier to operate and fix. You can balance speed and quality with iteration and incremental improvements. Qualifications
- 8+ years of relevant experience in solution architecture, product, and technical program mgt.
- Proven track record in driving and implementing change initiatives at scale, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement.
- Hands-on experience developing services on a public cloud platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, Oracle)
- An understanding of a diverse set of cloud customer applications and use cases.
- Experience designing, implementing, testing, and operating critical parts of tier-1 services or on architectures that span multiple projects.
- Previous success in mitigating risk and making nuanced trade-offs designing for security, concurrency, availability, performance, scalability, and change.
- Recognized as a team leader and someone who can collaborate across teams.
- Design architectures that demonstrate deep technical depth in one area or span many products to enable high availability, scalability, market-leading features, and flexibility to meet future business demands.
- Direct participation in hiring, bartender programs, and/or mentorship across the organization
- Lead preparation and presentation of design reviews
