M&E QUANTITY SURVEYOR
Job Description
As a Quantity Surveyor (M&E) you will play a crucial role in the financial management of mechanical and electrical engineering projects. You will be responsible for estimating costs, measuring quantities, and ensuring that projects are delivered within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates for M&E projects, considering factors such as materials, labor, and equipment.
- Measure and take off quantities of materials and equipment required for projects.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase and identify potential cost variances.
- Negotiate with suppliers and contractors to achieve favorable pricing and terms.
- Prepare and manage payment certificates to contractors.
- Assist in the preparation of final accounts for projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in M&E quantity surveying.
- Strong understanding of M&E systems and construction processes.
- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software (e.g., WinQS, CostX).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
