Electrical Engineer Responsibilities:
Designing, maintaining, implementing, or improving electrical instruments, facilities, components, equipment products, or systems for industrial, commercial, or domestic purposes.
Performing a wide range of engineering tasks by operating computer-assisted design or engineering software and equipment.
Conferring with customers, engineers, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering products or projects.
Ensuring that installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings, or topographical maps.
Establishing construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specifications by performing a wide range of detailed calculations.
Ensuring compliance with specifications, codes, or customer requirements by directing or coordinating installation, manufacturing, construction, maintenance, documentation, support, or testing activities.
Writing reports and compiling data regarding existing and potential electrical engineering projects and studies.
Preparing specifications for purchases of electrical equipment and materials.
Supervising or training project team members.
Estimating material, labor, or construction costs for budget preparation.
Maintaining electrical equipment.
Working with a variety of technicians.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- 2-3 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering with a strong focus on wire harness design and integration.
- Extensive expertise in using industry-standard electrical design software and tools, including proficiency in CAD software for creating wiring diagrams and layouts.
- Deep understanding of electrical principles, circuit theory, and wire harness design practices.
- Proven history of successful wire harness design projects, demonstrating the ability to manage complexity and deliver results.
- Experience in leading and mentoring engineering teams, cultivating a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve complex wiring-related issues.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical concepts effectively.
- Knowledge of regulatory standards and codes relevant to wire harness design and electrical systems.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and maintain high-quality work.
