Job Purpose
The role of the Senior Accounts Officer, Fixed Assets is responsible for recording the cost of all newly acquired fixed (and moveable) assets, maintaining records of these assets, ensuring that throughout their lifecycle, they are properly capitalised, maintained, utilised and disposed off appropriately.
Responsibilities
Senior/Accounts Officer duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
The Senior/Accounts Officer shall be assigned duties in Shared Services
- Processing of fixed assets additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, etc
- Maintenance of fixed assets register
- Month-end closing
- Preparation of audit schedules and other schedules for regulatory reporting
- Participate in UAT for system enhancements
- Attending to queries from users concerning fixed assets matters
- Other ad-hoc duties
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Diploma in Accounting
- Relevant working experience in a Shared Services environment.
Skills
Technical skills include:
- Good working knowledge of SAP and Ariba would be an advantage.
- Good numerical and Excel skills
Generic skills include:
- Meticulous in carrying out work orders
- Able to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with a penchant for improvements
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Good communication skills
