- Maintain a system of internal control over property assets, revenues and expenses.
- Oversee and monitor Finance operations mainly Income Audit, General cashier, Account Payable, Accounts Receivables and General Ledger.
- Assists on the renewal of contracts and licenses of the Property.
- Ensure Policies & Procedures are up to date and effective in controlling the actual situations at the ground level.
- Direct the timely and accurate recording of financial data and preparation of financial and management reports required by group and regulations.
- Control expenses in relation to revenues as per approved budget to maximize profits.
- Produce an accurate set of month end accounts, with comparisons to rolling forecast, budget, and previous periods (P&L and Balance Sheet).
- Prepare detailed analytical review and variance analysis for clearance with Hospitality Head.
- Review Balance Sheet Schedules for all Balance Sheet items ensuring its accurate and free from long outstanding items.
- Prepare budgets (P&L) for the next few years and assist with business planning including projected room revenue.
- Review bank reconciliation, investigate and report bad debts and manage property cash flow.
- Coordinate and liaise with external parties like external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretarial agents, local tax, and government authorities where required
- Support and ensure compliance with all finance filing requirements, tax filing requirement (GST/WHT/CIT/…), audits, procedures, and forms both statutory and internal
- Assists in new processes, system implementation and projects when required
- Assists with Insurance claims when required. Perform any ad-hoc duties or projects as assigned.
- Give recommend on system implementation and put in place control processes required for hospitality setup
Job Requirement
- Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with 5 years of relevant experience, preferably in hospitality industry and 2 years audit experience preferred
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Property Management Systems (i.e. RMS) and Accounting System (i.e. Oracle, NetSuite, Cognos) are preferred.
- Meticulous with good problem solving and analytical skills
- Strong ground/operations experience in hotel previously and is ready to move up to do analysis work
