Metta Welfare Association (Metta)
Founded in 1992 by Venerable Chao Khun Fa Zhao BBM and registered as a society in 1994, Metta Welfare Association (Metta) is endorsed by MSF, MOH, and MOE. We are members of NCSS, Singapore Hospice Council, and Singapore Disability Sports Council. Metta is recognized for excellence with the Singapore Quality Class (SQC) certification (2018) and the Charity Transparency Awards (CTA) (2019).
Our Social Service Programmes
Metta provides a wide range of social service programmes, including:
- Children Care: Early intervention for young children with learning difficulties.
- Disability Care:Residential and day care for adults with intellectual disabilities.
- Medical Care: Day rehab, home nursing, medical care for chronic and terminal illnesses.
- Special Education: Vocational training for children with mild intellectual disability/autism.
- Youth Employment Support: Vocational training and supported employment for youth with mild intellectual disability/autism.
Job Title: Finance Executive
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Responsibilities:
- Maintain full sets of accounts, including audit schedules, for Disability Care (DC).
- Maintain and manage the Fixed Assets register.
- Conduct physical counts and tagging of fixed assets.
- Verify proper authorization for asset disposal and movement using Form K.
- Prepare resolutions and update banks on cheque signatories and other bank-related matters.
- Prepare cash flow projections for HQ and all centres.
- Calculate depreciation and perform data entry into the financial system (FO) on a monthly basis.
- Manage the opening of bank accounts and perform bank reconciliations for HQ and all centres.
- Prepare Related Party Disclosures and Transfer of Funds Reports.
- Check fixed deposit rates with various banks and prepare necessary documentation for fixed deposit placements.
- Update Fixed Deposit (FD) schedules and bond bid prices quarterly.
- Arrange intercompany settlements and fund transfers to HQ.
- Prepare and review monthly café reports.
- Issue receipts for donations received via Giving.sg.
- Perform cash counting as required (ad-hoc).
- Provide backup support for the Accounts Payable (AP) function.
Other Responsibilities:
- Assist in fundraising events as assigned.
- Undertake any other duties as required.
Job Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a finance-related role.
- Qualifications: Certificate, Diploma, or Degree in Finance or a related field.
- Skills: Proficiency in English and another relevant language is preferred.
