Overview
NUHS Transformation Office facilitates integrated, patient-centric care across the NUHS system through initiatives like the NUHS Care Plans. We assist NUHS Group Chairman Medical Board in developing meaningful Balanced Scorecard tracking and participate in community care efforts for coordinated post-discharge care. We also assist NUHS Group Care Plans Ops to support Group Chiefs across NUHS institutions and Performance Indicators such as HealthierSG/Pay-for-Performance. Our role is to enable care coordination, performance tracking, and feedback processes that connect NUHS facilities and community providers.
A Data Analyst will provide support and insights into existing workstreams like building of EMR or Tableau dashboards, NUHS Balanced Scorecards and Diabetes care. There are also opportunities to focus on emerging NUHS Care Plans for Obesity, Mental Health, Cancer, End-of-Life care, Frailty, and Community Specialist Integration. As the scope expands, the data analyst can help drive improvements aligned with organizational objectives.
Job Descriptions
- Develop effective analytical and data science solutions to improve cluster-wide and institution specific healthcare milestones.
- Collaborate and establish strong relationships with key stakeholders, programme and cross-functional teams and the management to prioritize information needs.
- Assist in the development of analytical solutions such as data visualization, data modeling, data preparation, evaluation, and deployment.
- Translate clinical and operational needs into data-driven solutions.
- Develop, maintain, and refine interactive dashboards using data visualisation tools such as Tableau.
- Derive meaningful insights and foresight from large datasets and communicate meaningful insights from results of data analysis.
- Perform data quality audits, data preparation and transformation, feature engineering as precursor to data model development
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering or related disciplines with strong statistical modelling and machine learning skills background.
- At least 3 years of relevant working experience with analytics tools e.g., SQL, Python, MS Excel (advanced), data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau)
- Familiarity with healthcare setting is a bonus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to collaborate across various team areas and functions.
- Possess can-do attitude and work independently in ambiguous situations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in extracting, cleansing, and interpreting complex data with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Able to communicate sophisticated data science concepts clearly through concise reports and presentations, effectively conveying observations, and recommendations.
