To support the research for the project titled: “Thin Film Bulk Acoustic Wave Resonators Based on Atomic Piezoelectric Layers at Millimetric Frequencies”, the Centre for Micro and Nano-electronics is seeking to hire a research staff who will be responsible for design and development of thin film bulk acoustic wave resonators for high performance rf filters. The Research Assistant should have a solid background of semiconductor materials and devices and be able to carry out study and preparation of 2D piezoelectric material flakes, etc.
The Research Assistant will work on a project to study the piezoelectric properties of several 2D materials for development of thin film bulk acoustic wave resonators.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of piezoelectric 2D material flakes
- Characterization of the piezoelectric 2D material flakes
- Transfer the flakes onto substrates for device fabrication
Job Requirement:
- BEng in Electrical and Electronic Engineering or related field
- At least one-year research experience in related area
- Expertise in preparing piezoelectric 2D material flakes
- Knowledge in study of the piezoelectric properties of the 2D material flakes
- Experiences in handling 2D material flakes
- Publication track record is an advantage
We regret that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
