The Finance Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the financial operations of Aurora Health. This role involves managing financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The Finance Manager will work closely with various departments to ensure financial goals and objectives are met while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the development and implementation of financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the company's growth and profitability objectives.
Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and scenario modeling to provide insights for decision-making.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare and manage the annual budgeting process, including revenue projections, expense budgets, and capital expenditure plans.
Monitor actual performance against budgets and provide timely explanations for variances.
- Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Provide insightful commentary on financial performance and key metrics.
- Cash Flow Management: Manage cash flow, including cash flow forecasting, working capital management, and optimizing the use of financial resources.
Implement strategies to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
- Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements.
Coordinate with external auditors for annual financial audits and provide necessary documentation and support.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including credit risk, market risk, and operational risk.
Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies.
- Investment and Capital Management: Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations for capital allocation and investment decisions.
Manage capital structure and debt financing to optimize the cost of capital.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support for their professional development.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the finance department.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or CPA preferred).
- 2 years of experience in finance management or a related role.
- In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial reporting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic planning skills.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, Excel, financial modeling).
