Job Description
We are seeking applicants for a full-time postdoctoral research fellow position in non-Hermitian physics (ONLY theory and simulation). The successful candidate will apply quantum mechanics and computational simulations to study the physical properties of 2D materials and contact heterostructures, as well as to explore potential renewable energy device applications. The successful candidate may also carry out first-principles density functional theory simulations to investigate the electronics structures, optical properties and other physical properties of 2D materials and heterostructures.
The successful candidate will also be required to work closely with experimental groups by providing simulations to support their experimental findings.
Essential job requirements
- PhD in computational/theoretical Physics or a related field
- Strong expertise in first-principles density functional theory simulatons
- Strong expertise in 2D materials and contact heterostructures
- Excellent publication record
Additional requirements (optional)
- Machine learning techniques
- Nonadiabatic molecular dynamics simulations
- Some experience in collaborating with experimentalists
