Responsibilities
Engineers are characterised by their ability to develop appropriate solutions to incidents and problems as well as safety management using new or existing technologies, through innovation, creativity, and change. They take responsibility for maintaining and managing applications of current and developing technology, and they may also undertake engineering design and the development of systems and services. Additionally, they perform operational roles as required in the MCR control rooms.
Key responsibilities:
1. Service monitoring and service recovery (i.e., recover on-air outages and work with Content Providers on their recovery).
2. Service resolution for recovery issues and service normalization. Escalate problematic issues to the engineering team.
3. Operate equipment such as compression equipment, audio processors, audio shufflers, character generators, playout servers, and other broadcast-related equipment.
The ideal candidate should have/be
1. 1 year of related work experience in the Live Broadcast Industry.
2. Operational experience with broadcast automation systems, media ingest systems, and graphics systems, along with comprehensive knowledge of workflows, processes, and delivery, especially in a live sports broadcast setup.
3. Able to detect technical impairments for video/audio and recommend solutions to fix.
4. Able to work shifts.
