About the team
The Legal, Risk & Compliance (LRC) team at Airwallex is a collaborative group of legal minds and risk management experts. We're passionate about safeguarding Airwallex's operations, fostering a culture of compliance and ethical conduct, and ensuring we navigate the global financial landscape with integrity. We provide expert guidance and support to all areas of the business, proactively identifying, mitigating, and managing legal and financial risks.
What you’ll do
The Payment Partner Risk Manager sits within Airwallex’s second line Risk team and will have responsibility for providing guidance on the Group Acceptable Use Policy and ensuring our business remains with the risk appetites of our payment partners, including card schemes and other payment methods. This role is based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Melbourne.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to establish and enforce Airwallex’s acceptable use policy across multiple payment products and geographies.
- Act as an expert in card scheme requirements with respect to scheme rules and acceptable use restrictions of other payment partners.
- Ensure Airwallex is only supporting business practices that fall within its risk appetite and the risk appetite of our financial partners by providing guidance to first line teams and assisting in the review of more complex cases.
- Assist in driving any product or process changes in order to monitor and mitigate payment partner risks.
Who you are
We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.
Minimum qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in user policy risk or brand risk, or similar experience within the financial sector
- Knowledge of card scheme requirements is strongly preferred
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to communicate and help non-experts understand applicable requirements
- Strong writing skills, with attention to detail and the ability to generate original documents suitable for sharing directly with regulators and financial partners
- Excellent investigative and analytical skills to identify trends and insights
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment by multitasking effortlessly and managing competing priorities under demanding deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, manage projects and drive results
- Fintech experience preferred
