Roles & Responsibilities
- To handle the full spectrum of project management.
- Lead and execute M&E projects, managing operational and administrative procedures.
- Conduct project execution planning, cost control and set up project control system, planning, work schedules, monitoring of project costing, work progress, and maintain project documentation.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Manage the entire process with expertise in project management.
- Provide direction in construction planning, coordinate with subcontractors, clients, consultants and relevant authorities for on-schedule progress.
- Monitor and supervise Engineers / foremen/ Sub-Contractors, ensure works meet quality standards and adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues.
- Resolve drawing discrepancies & technical difficulties with Technical team.
- Coordination with all parties involved and monitor site manpower / material / equipment demands to meet target schedules and budget.
- Oversee subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Attend regular site meeting/site walk with Clients/Main-Contractors/Sub-Contractors to discuss and resolve the site matters.
- Manage and liaise with the Consultants on the submission related to structural works and Technical Department.
- Manage defects’ rectification and improvement works of completed projects.
- Plan all works on site, including program schedules and construction methods, forecast equipment, material and manpower requirement, and control usage and wastages of all.
- Review and provide project-related correspondence including progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree or equivalent in M&E Engineering or relevant field.
- At least 5 years’ experience in projects and site management in the local construction industry.
- In-depth understanding of M&E related field knowledge of construction, engineering, procurement, industry standards and other project-related activities, their interfaces and interdependencies.
- Well verse in construction procedures and material and project management principles.
- Strong construction background to discuss and advise technical matters with Main and Sub-Contractors.
- Excellent Communication skills and highly organized, driven and conscientious.
- Bilingual in English and Mandarin is preferable (need to communicate and engage with Mandarin speaking customers.)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Ability to work with tight schedule in a fast-paced environment.
- Adopt a proactive mindset when facing and solving issues; take charge of the planning and organization of resources and activities at the site.
