Liberte HR is partnered exclusively with a Sydney-based innovative startup food company that is pioneering a new forefront for sustainable food via high quality, cell-cultured meat products. They have recently launched their flagship brand and product for the Singapore market targeting the premium dining scene.

As part of this launch, they are looking to hire a Singapore based Business Development representative for the brand to lead, grow and develop their sales efforts in Singapore. This role will also serve as the Brand Ambassador for the Company as the designated representative in Singapore and be instrumental for all on-the-ground learnings back with the Sydney Head Office team.

Responsibilities:

  • Introduce the brand and its flagship product to new partners and restaurants, sharing with them on the Companys background, product pipeline and vision for the future of sustainability in the Food & Beverage sector.
  • Coordinate business development efforts, including visits to restaurants and organizing tasting events and roundtables to showcase the product.
  • Develop and implement personalized touches for chefs to keep the brand top of mind.
  • Maintain ongoing connections and relationships with chefs, as well as to develop new relationships through existing contacts.
  • Plan and execute new chef partnerships, from exclusive dishes and menu items to marketing support.
  • Communicate regularly with the distribution partner about product sampling needs and lead generation to manage product volume.
  • Keep the Head Office in Sydney and satellite locations updated on the roadmap for restaurant partners and events aligned with sales targets, as well as feedback from chefs and consumers.

Requirements:

  • At least 5+ years' experience in sales or experience in food & beverage and hotels/hospitality, luxury alcohol, or distributors of fine foods.
  • A deep expertise and keen interest of the Food & Beverage and hospitality scene in Singapore, and an ability to find strategies to generate new leads and opportunities with the dynamic local food scene.
  • Charisma and eloquence to effectively pitch the flagship product and effectively position it in the market as a new category of food.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with chefs and decision-makers in top restaurants.
  • Deep understanding of what makes chefs, restauranteurs, and industry key opinion leaders tick and what motivates them, in order to adapt the business development strategy and outreach.
  • Experience in working closely with a food distributor will be beneficial for the role.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively manage all on-the-ground stakeholders and regularly update senior management in Sydney on all progress and learnings.
