Structural Engineer/Designer at EAPOWER
Are you an experienced Structural Designer with a passion for innovation and excellence in the Oil and Gas industry? Do you excel at designing robust enclosures and skid frames for diesel generators in offshore environments? EAPOWER, a leader in customized diesel power solutions, is looking for a talented Structural Designer to join our dynamic team!
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Innovation: Develop comprehensive design concepts for weatherproof enclosures and common skid frames that house diesel generators, ensuring functionality, durability, and compliance with industry standards for FPSO and offshore wind farm environments.
- Structural Calculation and Analysis: Perform detailed structural calculations and analysis for skid frames, ensuring they can withstand dynamic loads, vibrations, and environmental conditions specific to offshore applications.
- Frame and Welding Design: Design skid frames in compliance with industry standards (such as AWS D1.1, API, ISO, or ASME) and develop appropriate welding procedures to ensure structural integrity and safety.
- CAD Modeling: Utilize CAD software to create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings of generator enclosures and skid frames, considering all necessary components and specifications for offshore applications.
- Material Selection: Recommend suitable materials for both enclosure and skid frame construction, focusing on corrosion resistance, durability, and offshore environmental conditions.
- Ventilation and Cooling Design: Design effective ventilation and cooling systems to maintain optimal performance and temperature regulation inside the generator enclosures.
- Integration and Compliance: Ensure seamless integration of all generator components, control panels, and other necessary elements within the enclosure and skid frame design, adhering to relevant codes and certifications.
- Collaboration and Documentation: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineers, fabricators, and project managers, and create detailed fabrication drawings, BOMs, assembly instructions, and welding specifications.
- Quality and Oversight: Implement quality control measures and provide guidance during the fabrication process, including inspection of welding and structural integrity, to ensure high standards are met.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in structural design, preferably in the Oil and Gas or offshore sectors.
- Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of structural calculations, welding procedures, and industrial standards for skid frame design (such as AWS D1.1, API, ISO, or ASME).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong documentation skills, including creating detailed drawings, BOMs, and welding specifications.
Why Join EAPOWER?
- Be part of a forward-thinking company specializing in customized diesel generator solutions for challenging environments.
- Work on exciting projects in the Oil and Gas and renewable energy sectors.
- Enjoy a collaborative work culture and opportunities for professional growth and development.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
