Position Summary
WSP is looking for Engineering Applications Support staff to assist in Support and Management across ASIA WSP business offices. In this role you will be involved in software support, acquisition, compliance, maintenance renewals, life cycle planning and allocating costs to the business.
The successful applicant will work within the APAC Engineering Applications Services Team to deliver reliable support to our APAC regions Engineering staff focused on the Asia business.
In this role you will be involved in collaboration with our internal stakeholders such as Procurement teams, Digital Engineering Leads, Software Leads, Enterprise IT, project teams and most importantly our regional Business Groups across APAC region offices and sites.
You will also work with peers from other companies and our WSP Global network to help drive the continuous improvement and innovation in our Engineering Applications systems and processes.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist the business’ needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on CADD\Engineering software by ensuring that maintenance, support, and upgrade protection for renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.
- Evaluate and optimize software usage and increase capacity where necessary
- Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services.
- Collect and manage information for budgeting, software compliance & inventory, contract summaries, and cost comparisons.
- Work closely with IT finance to assist with cost allocations of engineering related software and work with global regions for cost approvals
- Provide KPI/Metric information, trend analysis and standardized reporting on a scheduled basis together with unscheduled reporting as required by management; suggest improvements to process continually
- Manage activities concerning license compliance audits to be able to answer to requests from software editors effectively
- Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific CADD\Engineering software data information.
- Ensure Engineering Application are compliant with WSP Security initiatives
- Provide guidance on best delivery methods of Engineering Applications Standards
- Provide Level 3 Engineering Applications technical support through ServiceNow and matters assigned by the APAC Engineering Applications Hub Manager
Qualifications/Experience:
As an ideal candidate, you will have:
- Proven history in supporting AECO applications
- Someone already from a Design Delivery in AECO softwares wishing to move into an ongoing IT Support role
- Good knowledge of statistics (collection, organization, displaying, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of data)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Research and reporting ability
- ServiceNow experience
- Experience interpreting licensing models, terms, and conditions
- Team management
