Our client, a Global MNC, has an opportunity for a Winner to join the Team as a Shipping Executive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process necessary documents for import, export, and re-export activities, including Shipping Instructions, Bills of Lading, Permit Declarations, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and Certificates of Origin.
- Handle documentation for both 3PL (Bonded Warehouse) and Trading operations.
- Ensure accurate and timely submission of customs documentation using TradeNet.
- Utilize the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track inventory movements within the bonded warehouse.
- Coordinate with carriers and forwarders to book container space for shipments, ensuring timely bookings to prevent delays.
- Communicate with customers regarding their shipment documentation.
- Coordinate internally with the warehouse for import, export, and re-export shipments to ensure smooth daily operations.
- Plan daily shipment schedules for import and export.
- Monitor the status of incoming and outgoing shipments, managing Arrival Notices, Bills of Lading, Switch BL, and other shipment-related documentation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving shipment documentation issues or delays.
- Check Estimated Time of Departure (ETD) and Estimated Time of Arrival (ETA) on Portnet.
- Monitor and manage demurrage, storage, and detention charges, taking proactive steps to minimize costs.
- Arrange shipments with hauliers to ensure timely delivery.
- Act as the main point of contact for clients regarding logistics documentation, providing regular updates on shipment status and addressing any concerns.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure that documentation processes are aligned.
- Handle administrative tasks as needed (Ad Hoc Duties).
- Record jobs completed for each task on the Jobsheet to ensure accurate invoicing of services provided to customers.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum ‘O’ Level/ Degree or equivalent.
- 1-2 years of experience with TradeNet and possessing a TradeNet Declarant ID.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, particularly in multi-currency and inventory modules, is preferred.
- Candidates available to start immediately or with short notice are preferred.
