Duties/Responsibilities:
- Plan, schedule, and execute Cost Control responsibilities from small to large scale projects independently.
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously and may take project portfolio level responsibility from cost control perspective.
- Design project control procedures and methods. Contribute to development initiatives as a project team leader or a team member
- Manage change: facilitating the change management process and ensuring the preparation of change orders and their documentation
- As a core member of the project management team, actively participate and support the project manager in all aspects of project management.
- Strive to get all relevant project stakeholders engaged in future oriented project control and especially monitoring and controlling the project cost.
- Drives development of professional project control processes and practices as well as to act as role model and mentor for Junior Project Controllers, and other more junior team members
- Performs other related duties, as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering within discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Prior experience in Aveva ERM, SAP and ERM (Earned Value Management) is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of the business, construction, commissioning, and start up of large complex facility.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Prefer someone who has downstream chemical experience.
- Person needs to be able to work independently.
