Job Description
- Monitor and coordinate daily vessel movements and activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Liaise with vessel masters, port authorities, and agents to ensure smooth port operations, including berthing, loading, and unloading.
- Manage and track vessel schedules and logistics, ensuring timely arrivals and departures.
- Ensure all operations comply with project safety and health regulations.
- Assist in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinate the delivery and collection of samples, provision etc
- Oversee the efficient use of the vessel
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with port authorities, shipping agents, and other relevant parties.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of vessel movements, cargo, and fuel consumption.
- Generate regular reports on operational performance, safety incidents, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in marine operations, shipping, or logistics.
- Strong knowledge of maritime regulations, safety standards, and environmental compliance.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays, if required.
