Job Summary:
The Operations Engineer is responsible for optimizing operational processes, managing facilities, and manufacturing planning and control at AMT Pte Ltd. This role includes implementing digital transformation initiatives, ensuring efficient facilities management, and working closely with HOD to drive operational excellence. The Operations Engineer will oversee production planning, control processes, troubleshoot technical issues, sustainable practises and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Digital Transformation: Participate in digital transformation initiatives aimed at modernizing operational processes.
2. Process Optimization: Analyse and evaluate current operational processes to identify areas for improvement. Develop and implement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
3. Facilities Management: Oversee the management and maintenance of company facilities, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment. Coordinate with maintenance teams to schedule regular inspections, repairs, and upgrades of facilities. Manage relationships with external vendors and contractors for facility-related services.
4. Sustainability and Carbon Footprint Reduction: Maintain the corporate carbon footprint measurement by assessing current emissions across all operations and facilities. Develop and implement initiatives to reduce the company’s carbon footprint, focusing on energy efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable resource utilization.
5. Manufacturing Planning and Control: Work with planning team on manufacturing planning and control processes to ensure efficient production scheduling and inventory management.
6. Safety and Compliance: Ensure all operations, manufacturing processes, and facilities comply with safety regulations and quality standards. Assist safety officer to conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to minimize hazards. Participate in safety audits and implement corrective actions as required.
7. Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in operations management, digital transformation, manufacturing planning, and facilities management. Recommend and implement innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness across all areas. Participate in training programs to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
Job Requirements
(1) Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related fields)

(3) Able to analyze complex data and derive actionable insights to improve operations
(4) Willing to support team members and collaborate effectively to achieve common goals
(5) Being reliable in handling responsibilities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining consistent performance
(6) Skills in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement or other methodologies for enhancing operational productivity can be a plus
(7) Willing to engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry trends and advancements
(8) Flexible to adapt quickly to changes in technology, processes or operational strategies.
